Every Momcho is made by skilled artisans who are paid properly for their craft - not by those working under exploitative conditions which goes against everything we stand for.

By keeping our production small-scale, we’re able to ensure every step of our process aligns with our principles, proving that fashion can be made responsibly, without compromise.

PRODUCTION

All of our Momchos are crafted in Italy, where a talented team of Italian artisans hand-finish each piece with the utmost care and attention to detail. Their expertise ensures every garment is made to last — both in quality and in timeless design.

There are many reasons why we chose Italy as our manufacturing base. Beyond its impeccable reputation for craftsmanship and textile excellence, this decision is deeply personal. My husband’s family has worked in the Italian textile industry for generations, and in recent years, we’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of outsourcing — from factory closures to job losses in our own community.

By choosing to produce locally in Italy, we’re proud to support the continuation of this rich tradition of craftsmanship and help sustain the livelihoods of those who make our garments possible. For us, doing the right thing matters more than higher profit margins — because everything we do, we do it with care.

MATERIALS

We use 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton for all of our Momchos — not only because it’s gentle on delicate skin and ideal for babies prone to sensitivity or eczema, but also because it ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. We wanted to create a lightweight, breathable poncho made without harmful toxins, so you can feel confident knowing your baby is wrapped in pure natural fibers rather than petrol-based synthetics or microplastics.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the leading worldwide certification for organic textiles. It guarantees that every stage of production — from the cotton field to the final stitch — meets strict criteria for environmental care, fair labor, and chemical safety.

By working exclusively with GOTS-certified partners, we ensure that every Momcho supports a cleaner planet, healthier communities, and a safer future for our children.manufacturer and brand - must pass an annual inspection by an independent certification organisation.

The GOTS standard requires each actor to comply with social criteria that are based on international labour norms, and environmental criteria that relate to the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of the organic textile product.
